This is so staggeringly good, OMG. I prefer my personal approach of "literally consuming zero in the way of coverage", but to each their best and own ;)
I respect all of this, yet I’m taking the exact opposite approach: completely ignoring everything until tomorrow morning when I look at the news. Nothing is gained (for me) from stressing over returns on election night over just waiting to see where things stand in the morning. I’m going to pour myself a stiff drink, put on some movie as apolitical as I can find, and trust that I can assess the state of American democracy tomorrow. My mental health is REALLY going to thank me for it.
I can't believe what an excellent column this is. I almsot deleted before reading because I am clearing out my inbox of ads and election solicitations. Easily the best election resource I have EVER reads (and I've been vorting for 53 years).
